Driving Through Fear
| December 29, 2012 | Filed under India, Rickshaw Run 2013 |
Hannah and I had a rickshaw lesson back in Goa, which calmed me somewhat about the prospect of driving one across the sub-continent. If you have been following the Rickshaw Run Diaries, you will know that I have been freaking out a bit about actually having to do this really cool thing that I signed up for almost a year ago. Well, I’m happy to report that we had our first test drive in Jaisalmer yesterday, and despite a few… more
On Diving: Lessons Learned From the Deep Blue

The diving bug got me back on Gili Meno, Indonesia. I’d been snorkelling over some of the most beautiful reef I’d ever seen, just off the beach, marvelling at the folds and tendrils of colourful coral, giggling through my snorkel at weird-looking fish with bulging heads and goggly eyes. The Fear of Selling Up
| October 22, 2011 | Filed under Australia, Baby Steps- The Journey Begins |
I’ve mentioned before that Tyrhone and I are selling our apartment to allow us to follow our dream of long-term, indefinite travel and adventure, and on days like today, the idea totally freaks me out. But this is something that we have wanted to do for a long time, and when my company offered voluntary redundancy to anyone that wanted it, it was as if the universe was speaking to me saying, “it’s now, or never.” Never is too horrible a thought to… more
